We are a predominantly family law firm that began in 2003 by Pamela
Holmes and Amy McGarry. We have grown through the last four years: added
an associate and two full time paralegals, part time billing clerk.
Family law: divorce, parental rights and responsibilities, three
rostered Guardian ad litems. GAL represents kids involved in the
dissolution of the family or in child protective proceedings. Extensive
training for GAL in Maine - Pam: since 2001, Amy: 2005 and Sharon 2007.
Child support, spousal support modification and post divorce judgment
modification.
We also practice criminal law, jury trials and civil litigation.

Amy B. McGarry
Amy received her undergraduate degree from Bates College in Lewiston, Maine and her law degree from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, Missouri and. Prior to moving to Maine with her family, she practiced securities and corporate law in New York and Boston. Amy is a native of Vermont, but it was her prior experiences in Maine while an undergraduate that caused her to want to return. She has been practicing law in Maine for 9 years, specializing in criminal and family law. Amy is currently a member of 3 state bars, Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts, as well as a member of those states’ Federal bars.
Sharon D. Ward
Sharon grew up in a small town in southern Maine. She served in the Air Force as an electronics specialist for six years. Sharon graduated from USM with a BS in Business Administration and graduated from the University of Maine School of Law in 2003. She currently resides in southern Maine with her husband and children. Sharon is licensed to practice in Maine.
